How it all started…

1999 the core of our group discovers the snowy peaks of Himachal Pradesh. We spend a month using a cave-like shelter, the Gufa, as a base camp, and explored the riding area facing the Manikaran Towers (5600m).

October 2001, we returned to Manikaran to build a proper mountain hut at an altitude of 3400m at the exact spot where the Gufa laid. We offered this cozy building to the local community of Manikaran.

February 2002 we spend one month in the new Gufa. During this period we teach a few Indians to ski and snowboard. We also film a freeriding movie relating this adventure.


We would like to return to India and bring them more gear. We would also like to help the locals to make a living of sustainable tourism in relation with skiing as well as trekking..
